New York, Paris – 11 June 2013 – Today BioAmber Inc. (ticker: BIOA), a sustainable chemicals company, celebrated its first day of trading as a dual listed company on NYSE Euronext (NYX) markets in Europe and the United States by ringing the Opening Bell in Paris. BioAmber is the first American company to use the streamlined, cost‐effective Fast Path process for an Initial Public Offering.

Founded in 2008, BioAmber is a sustainable chemicals company. Its proprietary technology platform combines industrial biotechnology and chemical catalysis to convert renewable raw materials into sustainable chemicals, thereby replacing petrochemicals in a wide variety of everyday products ranging from plastics to personal care products. BioAmber currently produces succinic acid in Pomacle, France, at one of the largest bio‐based chemical manufacturing facilities in the world for biosourced chemical products. With the proceeds from the offering, BioAmber plans to build a worldscale bio‐succinic acid manufacturing facility in Sarnia with 30,000 ton annual capacity.

BioAmber began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on 10 May 2013 and on the professional segment of NYSE Euronext in Paris today through a public offering in the United States. The listing raised a total of approximately €62 million/$80 million.

The final offering price of BioAmber was set at €7.6/$10 per share on May 10. Market capitalisation stood at around €138 million/$180 million on the day of listing.

Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Paris – 10 June 2013– NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the appointment of Eric Forest as Chairman and CEO of EnterNext, the marketplace for SMEs. He will join NYSE Euronext in a few weeks and is already present alongside Dominique Cerutti, NYSE Euronext President and Deputy CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Euronext NV, for the first stages of the regional launch, in Marseille and Lyon. 

A graduate of Ecole des Mines, Mr. Forest began his career in 1986 and joined the ECM team of Société Générale in 1992. In 2003 he moved to Oddo Corporate Finance to head up their Equity Capital Markets business, where he oversees IPOs, follow-on issues and secondary offerings. He is also in charge of Corporate Broking activities at Oddo Corporate Finance.

Over the last ten years, Mr. Forest has always worked in support of SMEs. He has participated actively in industry-level discussions (AMF, AMAFI), helped numerous mid-sized companies gain access to the market through his ongoing responsibilities at Oddo, and served as Chairman of ALIS, the association of NYSE Alternext’s Listing Sponsors.

As CEO of EnterNext, Mr. Forest will be responsible for all Europe-wide NYSE Euronext activities and resources related to SMEs. Together with his staff, he will support companies on a daily basis and determine the market model (analysis, research and liquidity) and marketing strategy. He will also be in charge of developing and promoting the range of services and will make himself available to companies regionally, nationally and on a pan-European level.

Today starts the regional launch of EnterNext, in the presence of entrepreneurs and others who play a role in financing SMEs. The first stops on the launch tour are Marseille and Lyon, where Mr. Forest and Mr. Cerutti will present the market launch at the regional level.

The AEX-Index family is reviewed quarterly (March, June, September, December). The full annual review will continue to be conducted in March. The June, September and December review serve to include new entrants in case the index consists of less then 25 constituents and to facilitate inclusion of top 15 ranking non- constituents, for example recently listed companies.
Timing of the reviews are aligned with the expiry of index derivative contracts, and the reviews are therefore effective after the close of business on the third Friday of the respective month.

Global Derivatives ADV Up 4% Year-over-Year and Up 8% Sequentially, Ex Bclear
European and U.S. Cash Equities ADV Declined Year-over-Year and Sequentially

June 5, 2013 – NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced trading volumes for its global derivatives and cash equities exchanges for May 2013^[1].  Global derivatives average daily volume (“ADV”) of 7.6 million contracts, excluding Bclear in May 2013 increased 3.5% compared to May 2012 and increased 8.2% from April 2013.  U.S. equity options volumes remained strong in May 2013 increasing 3.4% compared to May 2012 and increasing 1.2% sequentially. ADV in U.S. cash equities declined 19.2% year-over-year and decreased 1.8% month-over-month. European cash equities ADV in May 2013 decreased 12.9% compared to May 2012 and decreased 6.1% from April 2013 levels.

Highlights

• NYSE Euronext global derivatives ADV in May 2013 of 7.6 million contracts, excluding Bclear increased 3.5% compared to May 2012 and increased 8.2% from April 2013 levels. 
• NYSE Euronext European derivatives products ADV in May 2013 of 3.2 million contracts, excluding Bclear, increased 4.4% compared to May 2012, and increased 19.8% from April 2013 levels. Including Bclear, NYSE Liffe’s trade administration and clearing service for OTC products, European derivatives ADV decreased 21.8% compared to May 2012 but increased 12.5% from April 2013.
• NYSE Euronext U.S. equity options (NYSE Arca and NYSE Amex) ADV of 4.3 million contracts in May 2013 increased 3.4% compared to May 2012 levels and increased by 1.2% from April 2013 levels. NYSE Euronext’s U.S. options exchanges accounted for 27.2% of total U.S. consolidated equity options trading in May 2013, down from 28.0% in April 2013.
• NYSE Liffe U.S. ADV of approximately 50,000 contracts in May 2013 decreased from 68,300 contracts in May 2012 but increased from 47,100 contracts in April 2013.
• NYSE Euronext European cash products ADV of 1.4 million transactions in May 2013 decreased 12.9% compared to May 2012, and decreased 6.1% compared to April 2013. 
• NYSE Euronext U.S. cash products (NYSE, NYSE Arca and NYSE MKT) handled ADV of 1.5 billion shares in May 2013 a decrease of 19.2% compared to May 2012, and decreased 1.8% compared to April 2013.  NYSE Euronext’s Tape A matched market share in May 2013 was 30.0%, down from 31.9% in May 2012 and down from 30.2% in April 2013.
